About
Riva Nova is a self taught singer-songwriter-producer from Bath, UK. She started writing and producing songs and music aged 12 using GarageBand before moving to LogicPro, and more recently Pro Tools and Pyramix. She is classically trained in piano, oboe and voice and is currently studying music and sound recording at university. Here she is developing her skills as an audio-engineer along with rigorous musical study in composition, harmony and audio-acoustics. She has experience of running both classical and pop sessions in the studio and on location.
Initially intending to pursue a career in medicine, she is indebted to a group of passionate professional musicians working locally who recognised her talent, and supported her musical journey. These include primarily Dan Neale @danlewisneale, an independent musician, percussionist and drummer of Massive Attack, and Paul Williams @pcwilliams, but also Liz Cass @liz__cass, an independent artist and DJ based in London, Rainbow Wood Studios in Bath @rainbowwoodstudios, and Real World Studios in Box @realworldstudios. Without these advocates championing her, Riva would not be in a position to share her music with a wider audience. Thank you!
Riva Nova released her debut EP 'Lost Myself Again' on 29th February 2024. This EP includes a small selection of her songs written about young love and friendship.
